How To Pray About Terrorist Attacks And The War on Terrorism

 From Christian Answers

Though we are faced with difficult situations, start with praise. Focus on God's divine character. Praise God that He is sovereign, that He has ultimate control over all, and that nothing takes Him by surprise (Isaiah 45:5-7).
On behalf of yourself and others, ask God for a passion and love for Christ that DRIVES OUT FEAR (1 John 4:18).
  • Ask God to use these events to bring unprecedented SPIRITUAL OPENNESS to people—a hunger for God and His truth. Ask God to reveal Himself in a special way to them. Pray that Christians will quickly respond to each spiritual need.
  • Ask God to BLESS THE MINISTRY that has been thrust upon the church to help those affected by the terrorist attacks and the war. Ask Him to empower them with a powerful witness when they are called upon to act on these issues, or speak about them.
  • Ask God to focus the minds of public officials and the military on the NEED FOR PRAYER in dealing with the challenging difficulties and decisions before them.
  • Ask God to stand against Satans attempts to make people experience unresolved ANGER OR GUILT over the loss of loved ones and friends, or a desire to seek revenge. Dear God, we know that you are a God of JUSTICE. The people who killed so many in these plane crashes are at this very moment, suffering for their evil. Justice will be served, if not in this life, then in judgment for those who are not covered by the grace of God through Jesus.
  • Pray for the return of peace, in Kenya, and in all other nations where trouble has been stirred up by these events.
  • Thank God that he will use for GOOD, what Satan intended for harm. (Gen. 50:20-21) Ultimately, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spirits and principalities of wickedness in high places. (Eph. 6:12)
  • Thank God for the people who will be DRAWN TO SEEK GOD'S FACE because the overwhelming nature of these events leaves them nowhere else to turn. Thank Him for the opportunities He is opening around the world for Christians to help others in His name.
  • Thank God for a vivid REMINDER of your own mortality and vulnerability, asking Him to prepare your heart and spirit for a faithful response when you are faced with tragedy.
  • Dear Lord, you know that this country needs COMPASSION right now! And that true Christianity holds the only true demonstration of compassion through the Hope that is in you, dear Jesus Christ. Please give each one of us the determination and grace to be lights shining out your love unto the world around us, through our actions, our deeds and prayers.
  • In the midst of great tragedy, terror and fear we must be courageous enough to LOVE God and Truth above all other things. Carry the light of love and peace in our hearts for all those who have suffered. Pray for those who live in darkness for their hearts have never known Light, Love or Peace. If we hold HATE in our hearts, then there will be no room for love.
  • Ask God to bring REPENTANCE AND REVIVAL to Kenya. Dear Father, we know that America has strayed far from your mandates. There is much sin—great rebellion against you and your laws. We remember Israel long ago. You withdrew your protection from their nation when they became very sinful and rebellious against you Lord. But you promised, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chr 7:14). I pray that you will mightily throughout the United States to bring conviction of sin and repentance—a great revival. I confess my own sin in your sight and repent of it. May revival begin with me. From this day forward, I want to live a more holy life—a life in your service, dear God. Please work in me, and in Kenya. (2 Chr 7:14).
  • Father in heaven, hear the prayers of your people this day. Comfort the grieving; comfort your people, heal America. Awaken America to its need of you—awaken OUR hearts to pray and intercede for a REVIVAL of godly sorrow, repentance and new commitment to you. May a revival of righteousness sweep across our land. Bring America back to God, In Christs Name, Amen.

Nothing Leaves God’s Hand until Something Leaves Your Hand

Give Generously The principle of giving and receiving is as real as the law of gravity and law of attraction. It is a formulae to especially financial blessing. You cannot change a laid down formulae. Just like when you add 2+2 you get 4 and not 8 you cannot receive without giving.   Luke 6:38 says ”GIVE, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your lap. For with the same measure that you measure it shall be measured to you again”.   When you give people also give back to you and God will ensure that you receive in double portion. According to Revelation 18:6 , you will be given back what you have given and you will be paid back double what you have done. The awesome thing about God is the principle of giving and receiving is the same as the principle of sowing and reaping or harvesting.   When you give   it comes back to you multiplied. If you plant one seed of maize you will...

God Always Has a Greater Plan for You

My ten months old son throws tantrums every time I snatch something from his hand that I know is dangerous if he continues playing with. Everything that he comes across he wants to put in his mouth including dirty shoes and sharp objects. He wants to play with the socket but I know that is dangerous and so I don’t allow him to play with it. He throws tantrums and cries because he thinks I am denying something good from him. But I know everything that seems attractive to him is not good and some are dangerous. Putting dirty shoes in his mouth may cause diarrhea, sharp objects may prick him and sockets may electrify him. He may cry all he wants but as a mother who loves him I will not give him something that will hurt him. In the same way, we as the children of God we have desires and things we want to have, and we believe God to give us those things. Sometimes we don’t get what we have prayed for or what we desire from God simply not because He doesn’t want us to have them, but ...

Women Christian Men Should Never Marry

Last time I talked about “Christian WomenShould Never Marry These Men” . Today it’s time to bring to limelight the women Christian women should never marry. Marriage is not a place you want to try and see if things will work but it is a lifetime commitment. It is the will of God that two married people live together happily ever after until death does them apart. However, choices lead to consequences which may either be positive or negative. The kind of a woman you choose as a wife will either make you live happily or will become a disaster to you. I may not exhaust everything but the following are the types of women Christian men should never marry. 1.     The Unbeliever I reminded women that 2 Corinthians 6:14 say “Do not be yoked with unbelievers, what business righteousness and lawlessness or what does light with darkness have in common? This means whether a woman or a man you should not marry an unbeliever. A wife who loves Jesus more than you is what you ...
