Good things come from God

The devil doesn’t have anything good to give you The temptations of Jesus while fasting for 40 days in the desert are outlined in Mark1:12-13, Luke 4:1-13 and Matthew 4:1-11 . Jesus was chosen by God as the Saviour of the world to save mankind from sin and reconcile him to our Supreme God. The devil knew if this was to happen he would be defeated and laid down a plan to destruct Jesus from this mission by taking him through a series of temptations.  In Matthew 4: 8-9 Again, the devil took Him up on a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory [splendor, magnificence, and excellence] of them;  9  and he said to Him, “All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.”   If you notice in the verses above, the devil promises to give all the Kingdoms of the world and its glory to Jesus if He chooses to worship him. The question is what does the devil own that he should promise to give to Jesus and even each and...

What is the condition of your mind?

When is your mind normal? Most people struggle in the area of keeping the mind in the right condition and I am not an exception. We know we need to think positive but we get tempted to slide back and engage our minds in criticism, worry, anxiety, wrong imaginations, among others. It is important to know that whatever the measure of our thoughts we reap the same. ‘As a man thinketh in his heart so is he’ (Proverbs 23:7) . What would Jesus think? “Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of goo...

Lessons we can learn from children (Part 2)

This is a continuation of Part 1 . Below are more lessons we can learn from children.  Unwavering faith/Believe Children are not conversant with deception, betrayal or lies because they have a pure heart. They believe all things are possible and believe anything. We need to learn to have unwavering faith God that nothing is impossible to God and He will do what He says He will do.   Hebrews 11:16 says “ And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek Him”. No fear Children may fear falling or loud noise in their first stages of development but as they grow they learn to trust especially in their parents. They don’t fear rejection, failure or what people might think of them. When a child climbs a high place and the father or mother tells him to jump he does not hesitate and doubt the ability of the father to catch him. The child jumps excitedly i...
