Benefits of Easter

Easter is here and I eargerly wanted to go through it understanding its meaning and benefits. Thank God Pastor Oscar Hamisi of Deliverence Church Umoja highlighted on the benefits of Easter. It blessed my heart and I want to share my notes with you, praying that you will also be blessed.

1.  Easter brought salvation
-Before the world was formed the lamb of God had already been slained. Easter brought the forgiveness of sin. Christ loved us so much that he was willing to die for us (John 3:16).
Jesus death was atonement for our sins. God wanted to restore man to his original sin after Adam sinned. The blood of animals used in the Old  Testament only covered the sin of men and didn’t wash away sin, and that is why they had to sacrifice an animal every year.
The blood of Jesus reconciled man back to God and not only covers sin but washes away sin.

2 Easter brought about healing
Healing is supposed to be our portion
Isaiah 53:4-5
We can live a life of good health. By His stripes we are healed. Emotional, psychological, and physical sicknesses including depression, cancer, diabetes, etc was finished when Jesus said ‘It is finished’ on the cross at Calvary. Claim your healing in Jesus name because it is your portion.

3.Easter brought us provision
Jesus was made poor so that we may be made rich. Every form of oppression and lack is finished. Jesus has already dealt with anything that stands in our way of provision. Declare your provision today as Jesus has provided it on the cross at Calvary.

4 Easter brought us peace
We have no reason to live in confusion. Jesus carried every confusion on the cross so that we may have peace. By His punishment we received peace that surpasses all our understanding. God gives us peace not as the world gives. The peace of God does not depend on the circumstances we are in. It is the kind of peace that enables us to rejoice even when we are undergoing peace.

5Easter brought deliverance.
When Jesus died he went to hades (hell) and broke the bondages people lived in and set them free. The devil doesn’t have power to bind us for on the cross, Christ’s blood had enough power to set us free from any bondage. We can walk free today because Chris bought deliverance on the cross at Calvary.

6 Easter remind us we are victorious
When He resurrected Jesus went down to Hades and took the keys of life from the devil and gave them to us. Whatever we bind will be bound, whatever we loose will be loosed, the door we close will be closed and the door we open will be opened.
We don’t fight to win because we are already fighting from a winning position. Every power, principalities, dominion, etc are under the feet of Jesus Christ. Jesus has given us the same power through His blood. Jesus is not in competition with the devil because He already won.  So we are victorious and more than conquerers through Christ who has loved us (Romans 8:37).
We can command every dominion, principalities and every negative situation in our lives to be under our feet in Jesus name.

7Easter reminds us that God’s promises are true.
It takes us back to the old testament about the coming messiah and manifested in the new testament.

Nothing Leaves God’s Hand until Something Leaves Your Hand

Give Generously The principle of giving and receiving is as real as the law of gravity and law of attraction. It is a formulae to especially financial blessing. You cannot change a laid down formulae. Just like when you add 2+2 you get 4 and not 8 you cannot receive without giving.   Luke 6:38 says ”GIVE, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your lap. For with the same measure that you measure it shall be measured to you again”.   When you give people also give back to you and God will ensure that you receive in double portion. According to Revelation 18:6 , you will be given back what you have given and you will be paid back double what you have done. The awesome thing about God is the principle of giving and receiving is the same as the principle of sowing and reaping or harvesting.   When you give   it comes back to you multiplied. If you plant one seed of maize you will...

God Always Has a Greater Plan for You

My ten months old son throws tantrums every time I snatch something from his hand that I know is dangerous if he continues playing with. Everything that he comes across he wants to put in his mouth including dirty shoes and sharp objects. He wants to play with the socket but I know that is dangerous and so I don’t allow him to play with it. He throws tantrums and cries because he thinks I am denying something good from him. But I know everything that seems attractive to him is not good and some are dangerous. Putting dirty shoes in his mouth may cause diarrhea, sharp objects may prick him and sockets may electrify him. He may cry all he wants but as a mother who loves him I will not give him something that will hurt him. In the same way, we as the children of God we have desires and things we want to have, and we believe God to give us those things. Sometimes we don’t get what we have prayed for or what we desire from God simply not because He doesn’t want us to have them, but ...

Women Christian Men Should Never Marry

Last time I talked about “Christian WomenShould Never Marry These Men” . Today it’s time to bring to limelight the women Christian women should never marry. Marriage is not a place you want to try and see if things will work but it is a lifetime commitment. It is the will of God that two married people live together happily ever after until death does them apart. However, choices lead to consequences which may either be positive or negative. The kind of a woman you choose as a wife will either make you live happily or will become a disaster to you. I may not exhaust everything but the following are the types of women Christian men should never marry. 1.     The Unbeliever I reminded women that 2 Corinthians 6:14 say “Do not be yoked with unbelievers, what business righteousness and lawlessness or what does light with darkness have in common? This means whether a woman or a man you should not marry an unbeliever. A wife who loves Jesus more than you is what you ...
