God is a Spirit, So Are We

Has anyone asked you 'If God is real then why don't we see him?" I have heard so many of those questions. In fact there is a time I asked God, "You know this question is genuine, so if you are real how come we don't see you in person". I was led to 2 Corinthians 3:17, John 4:17. God is a spirit that,s why He can,t be seen. And we are created in God's likeliness, so we are a spirit. What we see is not us, it is a body, it,s like a machine that God gave us to move effectively on this earth. We also have a soul that is made of mind and feelings.

The spirit in us and the body are always in constant war with each wanting to dominate the other. The mind goes with whichever is powerful. You will overcome this world if your spirit is stronger than the body. But for the spirit to be strong you need to feed it through listening to and studying the word of God, reading Christian books, praise n worshiping God and praying daily. What happens to our bodies if we don't give them food? They will starve to death. Likewise if we don't feed our spirit it starves, becomes weak while we make the body powerful. When the body or flesh is powerful it makes us be tempted to sexual immorality, selfishness, theft, hatred, lovers of money, angry and other sins. When the spirit is stronger it becomes like God,s likeness. We become loving, caring, patient, forgiving, peaceful, among others. So when a person dies the body is buried and becomes no more. But the spirit goes back to its sender.

So my question is, What will you present to your maker? A weak spirit or strong spirit? A hateful spirit or a loving spirit?

Nothing Leaves God’s Hand until Something Leaves Your Hand

Give Generously The principle of giving and receiving is as real as the law of gravity and law of attraction. It is a formulae to especially financial blessing. You cannot change a laid down formulae. Just like when you add 2+2 you get 4 and not 8 you cannot receive without giving.   Luke 6:38 says ”GIVE, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your lap. For with the same measure that you measure it shall be measured to you again”.   When you give people also give back to you and God will ensure that you receive in double portion. According to Revelation 18:6 , you will be given back what you have given and you will be paid back double what you have done. The awesome thing about God is the principle of giving and receiving is the same as the principle of sowing and reaping or harvesting.   When you give   it comes back to you multiplied. If you plant one seed of maize you will...

God Always Has a Greater Plan for You

My ten months old son throws tantrums every time I snatch something from his hand that I know is dangerous if he continues playing with. Everything that he comes across he wants to put in his mouth including dirty shoes and sharp objects. He wants to play with the socket but I know that is dangerous and so I don’t allow him to play with it. He throws tantrums and cries because he thinks I am denying something good from him. But I know everything that seems attractive to him is not good and some are dangerous. Putting dirty shoes in his mouth may cause diarrhea, sharp objects may prick him and sockets may electrify him. He may cry all he wants but as a mother who loves him I will not give him something that will hurt him. In the same way, we as the children of God we have desires and things we want to have, and we believe God to give us those things. Sometimes we don’t get what we have prayed for or what we desire from God simply not because He doesn’t want us to have them, but ...

Women Christian Men Should Never Marry

Last time I talked about “Christian WomenShould Never Marry These Men” . Today it’s time to bring to limelight the women Christian women should never marry. Marriage is not a place you want to try and see if things will work but it is a lifetime commitment. It is the will of God that two married people live together happily ever after until death does them apart. However, choices lead to consequences which may either be positive or negative. The kind of a woman you choose as a wife will either make you live happily or will become a disaster to you. I may not exhaust everything but the following are the types of women Christian men should never marry. 1.     The Unbeliever I reminded women that 2 Corinthians 6:14 say “Do not be yoked with unbelievers, what business righteousness and lawlessness or what does light with darkness have in common? This means whether a woman or a man you should not marry an unbeliever. A wife who loves Jesus more than you is what you ...
