We are still in the early
months of the year and our New Year resolutions are still fresh in us. Unfortunately
by the time we reach half the year most people will have forgotten about their
resolutions, and by the time the year ends none or only a few of the
resolutions or goals will have been achieved. This is precisely why you need to
have a vision board. I have used a vision board for years and I can testify
their success in helping me achieve my yearly goals. So you may wonder what this
vision board is. First let’s understand what a vision is first.
According to Calvin
Brown, a vision is being able to see further than your eyes can look. Everybody
should have a vision. Living without a vision is like living blind and far
better is a blind man with a vision. Proverbs 29:18a says “Where there is no prophetic
vision the people cast off restraint”.
A vision board is a tool that enables you to concentrate, clarify and
maintain your focus on your specific yearly or life goal. It is displaying images on any sort of board
to represent everything you would like to be, do or have during that year or in
your life as a whole. You can have a vision board where you can be able to see
it every day i.e. your closet or digitally on your mobile devices or computer
screen.
The following are the reasons why you need a vision board:
1.
Clear and constant picture of your specific goals
When whatever you want to achieve is staring at
you daily, naturally it will manifest. So, specifically find words and images
that presents the end result and stick on your vision boards. This can include
photos of a family, an attractive car, or a bigger house among others. The
feeling of seeing yourself there every day with the help of your board will
keep you on the right frequency.
2.
Gives a lasting visual in your mind
A vision board represents your life and your
desired results. Most of us do not have visions for our lives, although we have
visions for our jobs, schools, churches and so on. God created vision and changed
Abraham’s picture that was in his mind by giving him a new name. God wanted to
implant a picture in Abraham’s mind about him being a Father of many nations,
even though he was childless. Genesis
17:5 says “What’s more, I am changing your
name. It will no longer be Abram. Instead, you will be called Abraham, for you
will be the father of many nations.”
3.
Help you Focus
Focus on your goals is very important factor in
accomplishing them. A vision boards enables you to stay focused and on track to
your greatness. Every day you experience challenges that try to pull you down
from different directions at once. By looking at your vision board daily to get
to realize the reason you are going through the struggle and pain.
4.
Build your faith
According to Hebrews
11:1, faith is the assurance of things
hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Meaning it is only through
faith that you can get what you don’t have currently but believing you will get
it. Your faith is built because every time you see your vision board, you raise
your belief in what you want to achieve. If your progress is tracked and
monitored your vision will become a reality. Just like Pearson’s Law says: That which is monitored improves. That which
is monitored and reported improves exponentially.
5.
Hold you personally accountable
If you create a vision board and every time you
enter your room you will see your board. When you get up in the morning and go
back to sleep you will see the board. It simply holds you accountable for the
goals and you desire and the plans you’ve set to accomplish. This will keep you
on track.

Absolutely true, a Vision Board helps us exercise our faith by looking at things at are not already there as if they already are.
